Cage Fury Fighting Championships returns to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa

Following sold-out debut event at brand new venue, CFFC 106 now set for March 17

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Following an ultra-successful debut event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, Cage Fury Fighting Championships is set to return to the luxurious Florida venue on Thursday, March 17 for "CFFC 106: Smith vs. Artis."

In the night's main event, Tampa's own Blake Smith (6-2) looks to thrill the hometown crowd as he seeks to defend the belt he won inside the same building at this past September's historic CFFC 100 event. Standing on the other side of the cage will be a dangerous undefeated challenger capable of finishing fights in an instant, Paris "Ares" Artis (5-0).

Additionally, the night's co-main event sees two contenders challenging for the vacant CFFC welterweight title, with Gracie Tampa South product Hugh "The Wolverine" Pulley (8-4) facing a fellow Floridian in the undefeated Eric Alequin (6-0).

Tickets are on sale now at CFFC.tv. The event will stream live on UFC FIGHT PASS.

"Our first event in Tampa was completely sold-out, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric," CFFC President Rob Haydak said. "We couldn't wait to get back to the area, and it's especially great to again be partnered with Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. CFFC 106 will showcase a number of incredible prospects in the area. You definitely want to get your tickets early for this card, because it's sure to sell-out quickly once again.

"We're actually so excited about the talented athletes in the market that we've already committed to another event in July on the property, as well.”

Smith claimed his belt this past September, weathering an early storm against dangerous former champ Zulkarnaiyn Kamchybekov before rallying for a third-round submission win via guillotine choke to claim the title. He now takes on a proven finisher in Artis, who has yet to fight past the second round in his professional career and provided one of CFFC's most viral knockouts with a stunning head-kick finish of a previously undefeated Ryan Rizco at CFFC 87.

Current AEW wrestling superstar and two-time UFC veteran CM Punk will call the action at CFFC 106 alongside MMA Junkie lead staff reporter John Morgan on UFC FIGHT PASS.

Stay tuned to CFFC.tv for future announcements regarding CFFC 106.
