Devon Mathiesen in as new leader of CFFC

In the ever evolving landscape that is the sport of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), one thing remains a constant reality over time - change.

Today, change takes place at Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) as former Director of Fighter Relations Devon Mathiesen takes control of the company as its new General Manager.

"Devon has done a tremendous job in her tenure thus far with CFFC. Since day one, she has made the treatment of our athletes a top priority." CEO Robert Haydak kindly stated. "I have no doubt Devon will excel. Her work ethic is unmatched" he continued.

At this time Haydak and Vice President Michael Constantino will be respectfully vacating their positions, leaving Devon as the new face of the organization.

"I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for Mike and I, along with everyone at CFFC. It will be business as usual, with the athletes staying accustomed to the same level of professionalism that they have come to expect with our organization." Haydak said.

This changing of guard is a welcomed challenge for Devon who has been with the organization since day one.

"On day one with CFFC I had a small role during our shows at the Resorts (Casino), I had no idea where this would bring me 5 years later" stated Mathiesen. "Proving my worth to Rob (Haydak) and being selected to lead this wonderful staff is one of my proudest accomplishments" she said.

The past few years have been busy so far for CFFC. Today, with Devon at the helm there is no reason to think that will change in the foreseeable future.

"With Arias (Garcia), Burt (Watson), and Chickie (Martinez) as her support team I have no doubt Devon will continue to do great things" Haydak later stated.

Devon confirms that maintaining the organization's high standard will be a priority.

"Now that I am in charge, fighters and coaches will see that they will be treated the same way as they have always been. I want to continue our tradition of having fighters feel like they are family when fighting with CFFC. It takes our entire team to make this promotion run the way it does."

The rest of the calendar year looks packed for the fighters and staff at Cage Fury with the next event taking place at the Borgata in Atlantic City on October 29, followed up by another show at the same venue on November 11. The latter event is the next installment of CFFC's NEXTGEN series where top amateur fighters are given a chance to experience one of the largest platforms in the world for athletes at that level. As General Manager, Mathiesen promises to make the growth of the NEXTGEN events a top priority.

"I want to be able to grow our amateur events with the help of our match maker. I want CFFC to be one of the best feeder programs for up and coming pro fighters. It all starts with amateurs" stated Mathiesen.

There is no doubt that the future looks bright for Devon and everyone at Cage Fury.

"I am extremely confident in Devon" stated former President, Mike Constantino, "I have had the pleasure of working with Devon on multiple levels, she has consistently done a fantastic job and is loved by all" he finished.
