Cage Fury Fighting Championships 79 set for November 16 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City
Tickets on sale now for an all-star lineup that includes four championship fights
ATLANTIC CITY – Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) returns to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on Saturday, November 16, with an all-star lineup. With four title fights scheduled, the main card of CFFC 79 will stream live on UFC FIGHT PASS at 2 p.m. ET, which will lead directly into the broadcast of “UFC on ESPN+ 22: Blachowicz vs. Jacare” from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“We’re excited to announce our return to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, and we plan on once again bringing fans a full night of action loaded with the next wave of mixed martial arts superstars,” CFFC President Rob Haydak said. “The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is one of the most amazing venues on the legendary Boardwalk, and we promise to bring an equally amazing lineup of skilled athletes ready to shine on the sport’s biggest stage.”
Tickets for CFFC 79, which start at just $55.00, are currently on sale at CFFC.tv/tickets.
One of the night’s featured title fights will see undefeated CFFC bantamweight Alexander Keshtov (9-0) put his title on the line against blue-chip prospect Raufeon "Supa" Stots (12-1).
Affectionately known as “AK-47,” Keshtov returns to action for the first time since he captured the prestigious title this past December. The Russian-born fighter, who trains with New Jersey’s K-Dojo Warrior Tribe, is a dangerous matchup, as his four career knockout victories – including three in the first round – can attest.
Meanwhile, Stots is considered one of the world’s best fighters not currently signed to the UFC, and he makes the journey from Milwaukee under the watchful eye of legendary trainer Duke Roufus. Stots is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, a run he built following the lone loss of his career, which came to CFFC veteran and current UFC fighter Merab Dvalishvili.
Another featured title fight will pit Brazil’s Nikolas Motta (10-3) against the New Mexico-based Juan Gonzalez (7-1) for the vacant CFFC lightweight title. The title was vacated by Champion Joe Lowry for inactivity who will return as #1 contender in the future.
A veteran of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4,” Motta is heading into the title fight with the momentum of a vicious first-round knockout victory over former CFFC lightweight champion Cesar Balmaceda at August’s CFFC 77. Meanwhile, training alongside UFC star Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, at the BMF Ranch and Luttrell/Yee MMA in Albuquerque, N.M., Gonzalez makes the trip to Atlantic City with business on his mind. “The Demon” looks to make it five in a row with a victory over Motta.
CFFC 79 will also see featherweight champion Pat Sabatini (11-2) defend his title, and a heavyweight champion will be crowned, as well. Stay tuned to CFFC.tv for future announcements regarding CFFC 79.
