'CFFC 138: Fernandez vs. Ellis' weigh-in results: Champ Luke Fernandez, challenger Gregg Ellis lead drama-free morning
All 11 fights cleared without issue for Friday's event, streaming live on UFC FIGHT PASS from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – All 22 fighters today made weight without issue for Friday's "CFFC 138: Fernandez vs. Ellis" event, and the 11-fight lineup is now official.
The official weigh-ins took place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, the same venue that hosts Friday's event.
In the main event, reigning light heavyweight champion Luke Fernandez (3-0 MMA, 3-0 CFFC) looks to defend his title for the first time when he takes on Gregg Ellis (8-5 MMA, 1-1 CFFC), the former CFFC middleweight champion who is moving up and looking to capture a title in a second weight class.
Both fighters made weight comfortably at 205.2 pounds, using just a fraction of the one-pound allowance afforded athletes in CFFC title fights.
Meanwhile, Georgia's Roman Kurashvili (7-4 MMA, 0-0 CFFC) did need two trips to the scale to make his featherweight contest with Frank Wells (5-4 MMA, 5-4 CFFC) official, but was right on the 146-pound limit in his second attempt.
Ben Coyle (4-4 MMA, 1-2 CFFC) also used two trips to the scale to make the flyweight contest with Alex "The Boss" De La Cruz (3-1 MMA, 0-0 CFFC) official, but was comfortably under the limit at 124.8 pounds in his return.
A previously scheduled matchup between Angel Alvarez (8-2 MMA, 1-0 CFFC) and Dylan Mantello (8-4 MMA, 2-0 CFFC) was scratched earlier in the week, with "The Quiet Man" suffering an injury in training and withdrawing from the contest.
Friday's CFFC 138 event streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS and OnlyFans.
