FURY Professional Grappling 12 weigh-in results: 'Boogeyman' takes 11-pound advantage over Sean Brady in Saturday's headliner
Full 11-match main card cleared for UFC FIGHT PASS broadcast from Philadelphia's 2300 Arena.
PHILADELPHIA – Current UFC welterweight contender and former CFFC champion Sean Brady will face a significant size advantage against veteran grappler Richie "Boogeyman" Martinez in Saturday's FURY Professional Grappling 12 headliner after weighing a full 11 pounds lighter than his opponent at Friday's official weigh-ins, which took place at 2300 Arena, the same venue that hosts the UFC FIGHT PASS-broadcast event.
Brady came in at 195 pounds for the contest, while Martinez hit the scales at 206, marking the biggest weight disparity of the night's full lineup, though all 11 matchups for the main card were cleared.
The night's most spirited faceoff came in the evening's co-headliner, with accomplished wrestler Pat Downey, who registered 211 pounds, and UFC middleweight Andre Petroski, who tipped the scales at 213 pounds, enjoying a bit of pre-fight banter and a touch of pre-match grappling ahead of what's expected to be an intriguing 215-pound matchup.
While the majority of the night's preliminary athletes did make weight, as well, official weigh-ins for the remainder of the contests will be finalized just prior to Saturday's event.
