Cage Fury Fighting Championships names Jason Lederfine as Chief Operating Officer
Former CFFC General Manager joined promotion following 2020 acquisition of V3Fights
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) is proud to announce Jason Lederfine as the new Chief Operating Officer of the rapidly expanding combat sports promotion, effective immediately.
Lederfine, who also features as an announcer for CFFC's flagship MMA brand, as well FURY Professional Grappling, CFFC Match Day, and CFFC Muay Thai, most recently served as CFFC General Manager. The California native joined the team following the promotion's 2020 acquisition of the Tennessee-based V3Fights, where Lederfine served as a Manager, Matchmaker and Broadcaster.
"Jason has proven himself as in invaluable member of the CFFC team in both his forward-facing and behind-the-scenes roles," CFFC CEO Rob Haydak said. "With more than eight years of experience in the industry, not to mention his decade of service in the United States Army, Jason is also an active Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and even has a handful of amateur MMA fights under his belt.
"Those experiences, combined with his relentless work ethic and attention to detail make him a natural for this position in our expanding executive team, as we continue to focus on developing additional strategic partnerships and fortifying our respected position in the MMA industry. Jason's budgeting savvy, keen understanding of complex logistics challenges, and inherent leadership skills will continue to prove essential for CFFC's ongoing success."
Lederfine will continue to be featured as an announcer for CFFC's MMA, submission grappling, collegiate wrestling and muay Thai brands.
"I attended my first V3Fights show at Minglewood Hall in Memphis in January 2015 in the standing room only section," Lederfine recalled. "I really had no idea the free tickets I got for that event on Vet Tix would lead me to where I'm at today.
"I decided I wanted to start training again and ended up fighting later that year. After my fight, I was offered a position as the Social Media Manager for V3Fights and that set everything into motion. Soon after, I was handed a mic and did post-fight interviews and joined the commentary team. Later I would be promoted to Fighter Relations Manager and really started helping with all aspects of operations. I would even fight on a card, get cleaned up, and return right back to the commentary booth.
"When COVID hit, V3Fights was acquired by CFFC, and I did all I could to show the most powerful regional promotion that I deserved to be there. Everyone with CFFC is the best at what they do. It was just amazing to be a part of it. I was able to save vacation time up so that I wouldn't miss a single event, even though it meant exhausting travel and time away from home. Eventually I was tasked with taking over the logistics of shows: travel, hotel, insurance, ambulances, ground transporting, bonds, and state licensing. I've also been able to perform as a ring announcer for MMA, submission grappling, college wrestling and muay Thai events all over the country while still maintaining my operations responsibilities.
"With the increase in CFFC branded events, I was offered an opportunity to take over as the Chief Operating Officer, and I couldn't pass it up. It means more responsibility, hours and tasks, but I welcome the opportunity and challenge. When I saw the first UFC event live at the age of 12, I never would have thought I'd be in the position I'm in today. I'm eager to continue to help grow this brand and show the world we are the premier martial arts company giving more opportunities to combat athletes than anyone else."
Lederfine will serve alongside Haydak, CFFC President Brad Boulton and CFFC Vice President Miranda Granger to help foster the organization's continued growth and to ensure the best possible experience and opportunities for the company's athletes.
