How to watch Sunday's Missouri Tigers vs. West Virginia Mountaineers dual: Start time, event preview, more

'CFFC Match Day: Match Week' concludes with Big 12 conference matchup, live on UFC FIGHT PASS.

CFFC Match Day's special three-event series, "Match Week," concludes on Sunday with the University of Missouri returning to play host against fellow Big 12 standouts West Virginia University.

The NCAA Division I Wrestling dual once again takes place on the home campus of the Tigers following Wednesday's hard-fought win over Arizona State University, though this time Mizzou Arena will be the setting. The stream kicks off at 1 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CT local time) and features longtime MMA journalist and broadcaster John Morgan calling the action alongside five-time UFC veteran and former collegiate wrestler Justin Jaynes.

Missouri will again be shorthanded, with the Tigers battling through numerous injuries to key starters, including two-time NCAA Division I champion Keegan O'Toole, who isn't expected to compete again until late February. Four-time NCAA All-American Rocky Elam and four-time NCAA qualifier Noah Surtin were also lost to season-ending injuries earlier in the year, and most recently two-time NCAA qualifier Colton Hawks was forced to the sidelines for an indefinite period, as well.

Still, the Tigers are operating with a "next man up" mentality, and their grit was on display on Wednesday when they handed new Big 12 rivals Arizona State a loss in the nearby Hearnes Center.

Meanwhile, West Virginia returns to CFFC Match Day for the first time since a thrilling 22-21 win over Columbia in 2024's "Battle on the Boardwalk." That night came down to the evening's final match, when heavyweight Michael Wolfgram manufactured a 15-0 technical fall to give the Mountaineers a one-point win.

Wolfgram is expected to feature again in Sunday's lineup, as well.

West Virginia's top talent is unquestionably Peyton Hall, who enters the matchup ranked No. 3 in the nation at 165 pounds according to InterMat and boasts a perfect 22-0 record. However, he'll face a powerful Cam Steed, who got a late start to the 2024-25 season for Missouri but showed his devastating power with a scintillating performance on Wednesday.

The Mountaineers are also without a key starter, as Ty Watters – who earned All-America status last season as a freshman at 149 pounds – was forced to take a medical redshirt after a 6-0 start to the 2024-25 schedule.

Both teams have the ability to score points and will look deep on their rosters to see who can power the team to victory, much as CFFC Match Day Outstanding Wrestler winner Kade Moore did for the Tigers on Wednesday.

While the official starting lineups for Sunday's "CFFC Match Day: Match Week" dual will be determined just ahead of the event, the potential lineups include:

  • 125: #32 Gage Walker (MIZZ) vs. #14 Jett Strickenberger (WVU)
