CFFC NextGen 2 results: James Lledo, Giorgi Kantroshvili defend belts; Joey Milano claims 190-pound title
Lledo, Milano, Dalton Pedrick claim performance bonuses at Friday's sold-out event at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The return of Cage Fury Fighting Championships' Next Generation series once again played to a sold-out Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, where reigning champions James Lledo and Giorgi Kantroshvili each defended their titles, while Lledo's fellow Algeo MMA & Kickboxing athlete Joey Milano also picked up a belt.
The three championship matchup topped the bill at Friday's CFFC NextGen 2 event, which streamed live at OnlyFans.com/cffcmma.
The night's main event saw Lledo (7-1) simply outwrestle a previously undefeated Sean Clabough (7-1), who had no answer for his opponent's dominant top game. It took less than 15 seconds for "Las Vegas" to score the contest's first takedown, lifting Clabough into the air and slamming him to the canvas. While Clabough was able to battle back to his feet, it was only a temporary reprieve, and he would find himself on the canvas again shortly after.
It was a strategy Lledo was able to implement across three full rounds, avoiding any serious submission attempts in the process, and earning a clean sweep of 30-27 on all three judges' cards.
With his teammate, Joey Milano, claiming an inaugural 190-pound title earlier in the night and then joining him to celebrate at the conclusion of the card, Lledo predicted big things for them both in the future.
"We're the two next big things out of Philly," Lledo said. "We're Joe Pyfer. We're Eddie Alvarez. We're Sean Brady. We're Bill Algeo. We're the next big things out pf Philly. You'll see.
This duo, my brother included – everybody else out of Algeo MMA & Kicboxing and Southside Boxing – we run this state. We run this country. We run this world. it's only a amtter of time before you see me, him, and everybody else from our squad, and that's facts."
