CFFC 147 weigh-in results: One bout scrapped – again – but 10-fight lineup cleared in Tampa
Kevin Pease vs. Ethan Pauley set for welterweight championship headliner on UFC FIGHT PASS
TAMPA, Florida – All 21 fighters who hit the scales at Thursday's official weigh-ins made weight for their matchups without issue – unfortunately, 22 were scheduled on the day.
Thursday's official weigh-ins took place at the athlete host hotel. Friday's card takes place at the nearby Florida State Fairgrounds, with the main card streaming live on UFC FIGHT PASS following prelims that stream live exclusively on OnlyFans.com/cffcmma.
Seven-time CFFC veteran "Iron" Will Rentz was forced to withdraw from card prior to the weigh-ins and did not appear at the official ceremony. Opponent Alius Delarosa did weigh in at 155.8 pounds, but the bout was scrapped.
Complicating matters, the matchup was rescheduled from July's CFFC 144, when illness forced Rentz to withdraw on the day of the event.
Otherwise, the night's main card was cleared without issue, including the CFFC 147 headliner, where Kevin Pease (6-0 MMA, 4-0 CFFC) and Ethan Pauley (7-1 MMA, 0-0 CFFC) will compete for the promotion's vacant welterweight title.
Both men utilized the one-pound allowance given in CFFC title fights, with Pease coming in at 170.6 pounds and Pauley at 170.2, and the pair will now compete in the main event.
