CFFC 141 weigh-in results: One massive miss on main card, but champ Bailey Schoenfelder, challenger Anthony Guarascio official

Heavyweight title on line in Saturday's main event, streaming live on UFC FIGHT PASS from Tampa's Florida State Fairgrounds.

TAMPA, Florida – Saturday's "CFFC 141: Schoenfelder vs Guarascio" event will continue without a lost bout, although two fighters did arrive heavy to today's official weigh-ins, which took place at the fighter hotel.

Former champ Blake Smith (9-4 MMA, 4-1 CFFC) and promotional newcomer Enkhtur Bayartsogt (7-5 MMA, 0-0 CFFC) were initially set to meet in a lightweight matchup. Ahead of Friday's weigh-ins, Bayartsogt requested a catchweight of 160 pounds which Smith met. However, Bayartsogt still came in heavy at 166.8 pounds.

There was noticeable intensity between the Smith and Bayartsogt, as "The Honeybadger" commented on his opponent's lack of discipline. Bayartsogt shrugged it off and attempted to shake Smith's hand, but to no surprise, his request was denied.

Despite the big miss, the fight will go on as scheduled, with Bayartsogt surrendering a portion of his purse to Smith.

Additionally, Corey Samuels (4-3) missed weight for his lightweight matchup against Mihai Culai (2-0), coming in at 157.8 pounds. Samuels was given an additional hour to drop the remaining weight but was unable to do so. Still, the fight will also go on as scheduled.

Despite the two misses, the entire card for the evening is currently intact. Which means tomorrow night, Cage Fury Fighting Championships will deliver as advertised at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

In the night's main event, heavyweight champ Bailey Schoenfelder (5-1 MMA, 1-0 CFFC) and undefeated challenger Anthony Guarascio (3-0 MMA, 1-0 CFFC) had no trouble making the weight. Guarascio took to the scales and weighed in at 230 pounds, with Schoenfelder coming in at 220.8 pounds.

Additionally, Will Rentz (4-2 MMA, 4-2 CFFC) and Shane Mistretta (3-1 MMA, 0-0 CFFC) also solidified their co-main event matchup, with Rentz coming in at 155.6 pounds and Mistretta weighing in at 155.
