FURY Professional Grappling 13 weigh-in results: Blockbuster Atlantic City debut cleared with two title matches, women's tournament, more
Friday's event streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS and OnlyFans and features an intriguing array of submission grappling contests.
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – FURY Professional Grappling's first event on the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk is now official, with all 20 main-card athletes making weight without issue.
Featuring the first two inaugural title matches in promotional history, Friday’s FURY Professional Grappling 13 takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. The same venue hosted today's official weigh-ins, where headliners Patrick Sabatini (169 pounds) and Joe Solecki (168) each were comfortably under the welterweight limit, with the two UFC and CFFC veterans competing closer to their walk-around weight than their historical MMA weight classes.
The inaugural bantamweight title match was also made official, as Kevin Dantzler was comfortably under the limit at 133 pounds, while Junny Ocasio utilized the one-pound allowance given in CFFC title contests and hit the scales at 135.5 pounds.
There was one late change to the night's four-woman flyweight tournament, as Amanda Bruse was forced to withdraw from the lineup. Stepping up just a one-day notice is 18-year-old prospect Jocelyn Letscher of Paramount Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, who weighed in remotely from her gym, sharing live video of the ceremony and registering 126 pounds.
Her fellow tournament competitors also made weight without issue, and the opening round brackets were revealed, as Cindy Ung vs. Trinity Pun will open the night's main card, while Taylor Hishaw will face Letscher in the night's second matchup. The finals will be contested just prior to the highly anticipated 215-pound matchup of Chris Weidman vs. Pat Downey.
FURY Professional Grappling 13's preliminary card weigh-ins will be held just prior to Friday's event, which streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS and OnlyFans.
