On Friday, Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) kicks off a historic weekend of combat sports action on the Atlantic City Boardwalk with "CFFC BJJ 14: Fernandez vs. Hawes" from the spectacular Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
With an incredible lineup of 21 total matches, CFFC BJJ 14 is the latest edition of the organization's star-studded submission grappling series and the first with its new moniker after formerly operating as FURY Professional Grappling.
Headlining CFFC BJJ 14 is an intriguing matchup for the organization's inaugural cruiserweight title, as reigning CFFC light heavyweight champion Luke Fernandez takes on eight-time UFC veteran and former NJCAA national champion wrestler Phil Hawes, who steps in on less than one week's notice to replace an injured Pat Downey.
The winner of the contest joins Patrick Sabatini and Junny Ocasio as the first titleholders in the organization's four-year history – and Ocasio will feature in the night's co-main event, as he looks to retain his title against a familiar foe in Joey Diehl.
The 10-match CFFC BJJ 14 main card streams live beginning at 9 p.m. ET exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS, the UFC's digital streaming service, which currently offers month-to-month subscriptions, as well as discounted rates for 12-month subscriptions.
