New Jersey Air National Guard named Official U.S. Military Partner of Cage Fury Fighting Championships

Partnership kicks off with CFFC NextGen 5 on November 7 in Atlantic City, continues through full 2027 schedule

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) officials are proud to announce a new partnership with the New Jersey Air National Guard, welcoming the 177th Fighter Wing as the promotion's Official U.S. Military Partner.

The agreement, which runs through the 2027 CFFC schedule, kicks off with "CFFC NextGen 5: O'Brien vs. Tennant" on Saturday, November 7 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City's spectacular Sound Waves venue. The New Jersey Air National Guard will be featured at all CFFC events in the organization's home state of New Jersey, and their logo will feature prominently on the canvas, as well.

"We are incredibly excited about this partnership with Cage Fury," Senior Master Sergeant Jade N. Smedley, New Jersey Air National Guard Recruiting & Retention Senior Enlisted Leader said. "Together, we're focused on delivering an incredible experience that honors our force and builds strong connections with the community we serve."

The partnership will also feature on CFFC's social media channels with the New Jersey Air National Guard's "Guard What Matters" Championship Spotlight, with the entire partnership designed to support the aerial militia's mission "to forge enduring partnerships across our communities, attract and retain exceptional talent, and develop the next generation of Citizen-Airmen to secure our state and nation's future with purpose, excellence, and integrity."

"Partnering with Cage Fury represents a tremendous opportunity to connect with one of the most passionate fanbases in sports," Master Sergeant Robert Budhan, New Jersey Air National Guard Recruiting & Retention Marketing Director said. "We are dedicated to elevating the viewer experience, ensuring that whether fans are sitting ringside or streaming from home, they receive an unparalleled level of engagement and entertainment."

Cage Fury Fighting Championships has previously held "Fight for the Troops" events on active military bases, as well as hosted NCAA Division I wrestling duals featuring athletes from the United States Military Academy, but this new partnership makes the New Jersey Air National Guard the organization's inaugural Official U.S. Military Partner.

"We are absolutely honored to welcome the New Jersey Air National Guard as the Official U.S. Military Partner of Cage Fury Fighting Championships," CFFC Vice President of Business Development Grant Grundlock said. "Supporting the United States Military has always been important for us at CFFC, and the opportunity to partner with the New Jersey Air National Guard right in our backyard is truly special. The commitment, dedication and sacrifice it takes to succeed in mixed martial arts is an absolute parallel to what is demanded of our nation's military personnel, and we are pleased to bring these two worlds together with this agreement."

Since 1958, the 177th Fighter Wing has been located at Atlantic City International Airport, just 12 miles away from CFFC's longtime home at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. The "Jersey Devils" trace their roots back to 1917 and maintain both a federal and state mission as one of the seven Reserve components of the United States Armed Forces.

As with all Cage Fury Fighting Championships partnerships, the New Jersey Air National Guard relationship was secured with assistance from T&C, CFFC's official Marketing Partner and Agency of Record.
