CFFC 153 weigh-in results: Full nine-bout lineup cleared, including headliners Lucas Seibert and Sebastian Ruiz
Interim bantamweight title on line in Friday's main event from Philadelphia's 2300 Arena and streaming on UFC FIGHT PASS
PHILADELPHIA – With reigning CFFC bantamweight champion Sean Mora currently filming for "The Ultimate Fighter 34," an interim title will be crowned in the main event of Friday's CFFC 153 event, when the undefeated Lucas "Steel City" Seibert (6-0) takes on Peruvian scrapper Sebastian "El Gallo" Ruiz (7-4).
On Thursday, the two athletes made weight without issue, with Seibert hitting the scales first at 134.6 pounds and Ruiz following at 135.8 pounds, utilizing the one-pound allowance given in CFC title fights. The ceremony took place at 2300 Arena, the same venue that hosts Friday's fight card, which streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS and OnlyFans.com/cffcmma.
In fact, all 18 athletes on the night made weight before the day was done. Just one athlete, Itso Babulaidze (6-0), needed two trips to the scale, registering 171.4 pounds on his first attempt but returning shortly after and making 171. His opponent, DeWitt Dixon (4-1), was 170.2 on his initial attempt..
Everyone else on the card made weight without issue.
