Cage Fury Fighting Championships debuts in Illinois at Hard Rock Casino Rockford on Friday, June 26
Tickets on sale now for CFFC 156, featuring two championship matchups streaming live on UFC FIGHT PASS
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) officials are excited to announce the organization's first visit to Illinois, with Hard Rock Casino Rockford playing host to "CFFC 156: Zhumagul vs. Humphrey" on Friday, June 26.
Two championship matchups top the bill, as reigning CFFC welterweight titleholder Busurman "Bushido" Zhumagul (5-0 MMA, 5-0 CFFC) takes on undefeated knockout artist Ron "The Career Ender" Humphrey (4-0 MMA, 1-0 CFFC) in the night's main event, while the heavyweight belt will be on the line in the evening's co-main event, as Brazilian kingpin Vitor "Vitao" Resende (6-1 MMA, 2-0 CFFC) takes on four-time UFC veteran Bevon Lewis (8-6 MMA, 0-0 CFFC).
Additional featured matchups already confirmed for the event include undefeated lightweight prospect "Mad" Max Metzgar (6-0) vs. former CFFC featherweight champion and Illinois' own Jose Perez (10-2), two-time UFC veteran "Slick" Nick Aguirre (10-3) vs. Canadian standout Teshay "My House" Gouthro (9-3) in a bantamweight clash, as well as undefeated heavyweight Matt "Bear Wolf" Gawlik (4-0) facing the heavy-handed Billy Ray Valdez (4-2).
A full lineup of matchups for CFFC 156 will be announced shortly. The night's main card airs live beginning at 8 p.m. CT local time, while preliminary action streams live at 6 p.m. CT.
Doors to the venue open at 5 p.m. CT.

The CFFC 156 main card streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS. WWE superstar and two-time UFC veteran CM Punk calls the action alongside CFFC General Manager and longtime MMA journalist John Morgan.
Hard Rock Casino Rockford becomes the third Hard Rock venue to host Cage Fury Fighting Championships, following New Jersey's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, as well as Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. Additional dates have been reserved later this year at Ohio's Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati and Virginia's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol.
