CFFC 158 weigh-in results: One fighter misses, but 11-bout lineup cleared for promotion's Ohio debut

Local heroes Liam Hamill and Cornell Beachem Jr. feature in the night's top two matchups, with Ethan Pauley and Eman Hardy looking to play spoiler

CINCINNATI – The first Cage Fury Fighting Championships event in the history of "The Buckeye State" is official with 11 bouts, after 21 of the night's 22 scheduled athletes made weight without issue – and the lone miss of the days was by just 0.2 pounds.

The card is now set for Friday's "CFFC 158: Hamill vs. Pauley" event, which streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS and OnlyFans.com/cffcmma from Ohio's Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, following Thursday's official weigh-in ceremony, which took place at the athlete host hotel. That single miss did result in a fine, after featherweight Adryan Grundy (3-2) could manage to get down to only 146.2 pounds on his second trip to the scale. Opponent Darius Patterson (4-0) accepted the contest despite the miss, and the matchup will go on as scheduled.

Headliners Liam Hamill (169.6) and Ethan Pauley (170.8) both made weight on their first trip to the scales, as did fellow welterweights Cornell Beachem Jr. (171) and Eman Hardy (169.8), who meet in the night's co-main event.

In fact, only welterweight CJ LaFragola and NextGen lightweight Ryland Kimble needed two trips to the scale, but each made weight on their second attempt.
