Promotion lands in Memphis area for CFFC 84 and CFFC 85 in two-night run on UFC FIGHT PASS

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Cage Fury Fighting Championships' acquisition of the Memphis-based V3Fights is completed and the longtime leader in Northeastern MMA is now branching out in a big way.

For the first time in the promotion's history, CFFC is staking claim to new region of the country, with the Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino hosting a pair of closed-door events on back-to-back nights next month.

Located just outside of Memphis in Robinsonville, Miss., the Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino will see two full nights of MMA's best up-and-coming talent looking to earn their way to the sport's biggest stage, with CFFC 84 on Sept. 17 and CFFC 85 on Sept. 18. Both events' main cards will stream live on UFC FIGHT PASS.

"We're excited to be able to quickly capitalize on the opportunities made available to us with the acquisition of V3Fights," CFFC President Rob Haydak said. "While fans in the Northeast have become familiar with the high-quality live events we bring to the region, we're thrilled to now be able to start reaching a new group of fans, not to mention a new crop of fighters hoping to make their way to the international stage. V3Fights shared the same mission as CFFC and is responsible for hosting the likes of Bryce Mitchell, Andrea lee, Eryk Anders and many others on their road to the UFC. Now that V3 is one with us, the south has a more centralized pipeline for talent to reach the highest levels of our sport and the best is yet to come.”

Former WWE champion and two-time UFC veteran CM Punk calls the fights along with MMA Junkie’s John Morgan.

Following an incredibly successful return to action earlier this month, CFFC's latest two-night run kicks off with CFFC 84, which is headlined by a contest for the promotion's vacant bantamweight title between top-rated prospect Jared "Psycho" Scoggins (9-1) and a Mississippi fighter with a penchant for finishing fights in Thomas "The Die Hard Kidd" Vazquez (9-4).

Also, former CFFC featherweight champion Pat Sabatini (11-3) looks to return to action for the first time since ceding the title in February when he takes on CFFC veteran Jordan Titoni (7-5).

Meanwhile, CFFC 85 takes place the following night and features a highly anticipated main event, with CFFC welterweight champion Jeremiah Wells (8-2-1) looking to defend his belt for the first time when he faces fellow UFC hopeful Bobby Lee (11-4).

Additionally, undefeated Russian prospect Ramazan Kuramagomedov (7-0), a past Dana White's Contender Series winner, competes in the night's co-main event against Arkansas' Trevor Ollison (4-2), who was won all four of his professional fights by submission. Also, big-show veterans Danny Davis Jr. (13-13-1) and Nah-Shon Burrell (15-11) face off in a catchweight contest.

Additional bout announcements are expected shortly. Stay tuned to CFFC.tv for future announcements regarding CFFC 84 and CFFC 85.
