Watch UFC Fighters Up Close in Your Own Backyard

Who wouldn’t want to see the world’s best fighters right in front of your very eyes, only a short distance from your home? With FURY 6 returning to the historic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, attendees will get to be up-close in the action with electric match-ups happening right on the mat. With local UFC talent like Pat Sabatini, Andre Petroski and Joe Pyfer filling up the main card, attendees can see how they stack up against other elite talent from around the world. The hometown stars aren’t the only UFC fighters arriving in Philly, the card also features UFC veterans such as Clay Guida, Chase Hooper, Alex Caceres, Ovince St. Preux, Eryk Anders, Mike Malott, Trevin Giles, Philip Rowe and more to be announced! This may be the only chance for some to witness this amount of talent on the mat in one night.  No matter the outcomes of the matches, FURY 6 is surely an event no one wants to miss, and a night perfect to gift for the Christmas season.

Be Apart of the Grappling Movement

While some MMA fans prefer a knockout, others like the beautiful art of jiu-jitsu and forcing an opponent to submit. Grappling is an intriguing discipline where MMA fans can now easily recognize and analyze submission attempts and transitions during a fight. In recent years, grappling has continued to grow and UFC Fight Pass is giving another platform for all to see. Outside of fighting, competitive grappling gives fighters an alternative to compete without the physical toll or punishment than MMA.  Fury Professional Grappling began in July 2021 and gave a chance to not only UFC fighters to show their grappling skills against the best active jiu-jitsu practitioners, but fighters to compete and stay active as well.  Since that card, Fury Professional Grappling has grown and continues to promote and provide the best grappling event on the biggest stage. On Friday night, attendees can expect to see the most electrifying FURY card to date, when FURY 6 brings some of the biggest names in MMA to show their submission skills on the mat.

The Match-Ups

With UFC fighters filling up the card for FURY 6, the night will be nothing short of fireworks, and it will be electric from beginning to end. The main card features matches that will be nothing short of amazing. If you’re looking for a reason to buy tickets, these matchups should do the trick. With a matchup like CFFC veteran and UFC newcomer, Joe “Bodybagz” Pyfer (10-2) facing off against Eryk “Ya Boi” Anders (15-7), attendees are surely in for a treat. Pyfer is coming off a dominant knockout win in September, and will hope to keep the ball rolling into the new year. For Anders, the UFC middleweight is also looking to keep the wins coming after a TKO win over former CFFC Middleweight Champion, Kyle Daukus earlier this month. The real fireworks will come with the match-up pitting current UFC lightweight Clay “The Carpenter” Guida (38-22) against CFFC veteran and UFC featherweight, Chase “The Dream” Hooper (11-3-1). Guida is no stranger when it comes to grappling and he will be making his fourth appearance on the FURY mat. In his previous FURY showings, Guida has earned two wins over fellow UFC fighter, Billy Quarantillo, and CFFC President, Brad Boulton, and more recently earned a draw with UFC’s Alex Caceres. Outside of his grappling, Guida recently earned a decision win over Scott Holtzman at UFC Orlando. For Hooper, the featherweight is looking to bounce back from a TKO loss from October in his last UFC outing, and give himself a win heading into the new year. Hooper has previously grappled at FURY 3 against fellow UFC fighter, Renato Moicano. With the two experienced grapplers meeting each other on the mat for the first time, attendees can expect fireworks from the minute the match begins.

The exciting match-ups don’t end there, however. Attendees can witness UFC light heavyweight, Ovince “OSP '' St. Preux (26-16), face off against Philly native and CFFC veteran and current UFC middleweight, Andre Petroski (9-1). Both fighters are coming off wins in their most recent fights, and are looking to continue their win streaks at FURY 6, and remain victorious heading into the new year. This will be Petroski’s third time competing at Fury and has won his two matches over the previously mentioned Anders and Phil Hawes.  Another match to look out for is when a set of  UFC welterweights, Trevin “The Problem” Giles (15-4) and Mike “Proper” Malott (8-1-1), find themselves squaring off on the mat. Giles recently won via unanimous decision against Louis Coscoe at UFC Fight Night in September, and is looking to keep his win streak alive. For Malott, the CFFC veteran recently defeated Mickey Gall via TKO earlier in the year in April at UFC 273. For Philly native and former CFFC featherweight champion, Pat Sabatini (17-4), the UFC featherweight will have his hands full with fellow featherweight, Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres (20-13). Caceres is coming off an impressive TKO win over Julian “Juicy J” Erosa at last week’s UFC Fight Night. The two featherweights will look to prove their grappling skills on the mat, and see who ends up on top. With a card full of UFC fighters looking to make a statement outside of the cage and instead on the mat, the night is sure to be full of fireworks, but the question remains who will end up victorious?

No matter what you’re doing next weekend, FURY 6 is a night that no one wants to miss. With an expected sell-out crowd, it’s best to buy your tickets now before it’s too late. Whether it’s for yourself or that special someone, tickets for next weekend, is a gift that everyone should want to get. Besides, if this article wasn’t convincing enough, wait till you find out who will star as the main event.
