CFFC 117 Official Results: Cedric Gunnison, Greg Velasco Claim Title Wins

Philadelphia’s historic 2300 Arena played host to CFFC 117’s 10-fight card on Friday night. The lineup included four prelim fights followed by six on the main card, which could be seen on UFC FIGHT PASS.

The night's main event saw Cedric Gunnison (5-1) and Zulkarnaiyn Kamchybekov (6-3) battled tirelessly for the vacant lightweight title over the course of a 25-minute contest. In just the third title fight in CFFC history to go to a fifth round sudden death, Gunnison was awarded a split-decision victory, as well as the 155-pound title.

The night's co-main event saw reigning heavyweight champion Greg Velasco (6-0) put his title on the line against promotional newcomer Ronald Coleman (3-1). While it was Coleman who was successful early, he eventually tired from the pace, and Velasco was able to strike his way to a TKO win.

The main card began with fireworks. Christian McAuley (2-0) delivered a knockout punch 20 seconds into his bout with Hector Eli Iglesias (1-2). Then, just minutes later, Anthony DiLemme (3-0) mounted an incredible comeback deep into round one by knocking out Isa Dalipaj (3-2) with a thunderous punch.
